INFORMATIONAL MEETING IS SEPT. 22 FOR
WESTON BEND AND LEWIS AND CLARK STATE PARKS
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., SEPT. 11, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host an informational meeting on Saturday, Sept. 22, to discuss issues related to Weston Bend and Lewis and Clark state parks. The meeting is 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bee Creek Shelter House in Weston Bend State Park, near Weston. It is open to the public.
Park staff will provide information on future plans for the parks and answer questions. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about the parks.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
The Bee Creek Shelter House is located on Highway 45 approximately one-half mile south of the main entrance to Weston Bend State Park, and two miles south of Weston.
