OPEN HOUSE PLANNED FOR CASTLEWOOD STATE PARK SEPT. 15
JEFFERSON CITY, MO., SEPT. 06, 2007 – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house at Castlewood State Park near Ballwin on Saturday, Sept. 15. The open house is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the park office. The public is invited.
Park staff will be available to answer questions on the park’s facilities, resources and ongoing projects. The public is invited to ask questions and comment on park operations and other projects.
Exhibits interpreting the history of the park as a resort area for the citizens of St. Louis from 1915 to 1940 will be on display.
The open house is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Castlewood State Park is located east on Kiefer Creek Road, off New Ballwin Road from Highway 100 in St. Louis County.
