INFORMATIONAL MEETING IS AUG. 27 FOR
TWO STATE PARKS AND TWO STATE HISTORIC SITES
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, AUG. 16, 2007 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting on Monday, Aug. 27, to discuss issues related to Rock Bridge Memorial State Park near Columbia, Katy Trail State Park from Portland to Boonville, Jewell Cemetery State Historic Site in Columbia and Clark's Hill/Norton State Historic Site near Osage City. The meeting is 7 to 8 p.m. at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park's Gilbert Shelter House, located in the third loop of the upper parking lot.
Staff from Rock Bridge Memorial State Park will be on hand to answer questions concerning management of all four facilities. The public is invited to share comments and to ask questions.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Rock Bridge Memorial State Park is located five miles south of downtown Columbia on Highway 163.
