TEMPORARY DETOUR if approaching from the Weston area:  Due to bridge work this spring and summer, Hwy. 45/Hwy. 273 is temporarily closed north of Weston.  To reach Lewis and Clark State Park from Weston:  Take Route H north to Route M.  Travel on Route M to Hwy. 116.  Take Hwy. 116 west to Hwy. 59.  Take Hwy. 59 south; this will turn into Hwy. 45/Hwy. 273.  Turn west onto Hwy. 138 which leads into the park entrance.  Detour signs are in place.

From St. Joseph
Lewis and Clark State Park is 18 miles from St. Joseph. The trip will take 20 minutes. Take U.S. Hwy. 59 south to Hwy. 45. Go south on Hwy. 45 to Hwy. 138. Travel west on Hwy. 138 until you reach the state park.

From Kansas City
Lewis and Clark State Park is 58 miles from downtown Kansas City. The trip will take 1 hour 15 minutes. Take I-29 north to Hwy. 92 (Platte City). Go west on Hwy. 92 through Platte City to Hwy. 45. (*See temporary detour above) Travel north on Hwy. 45 to Hwy. 138. Take Hwy. 138 west until you reach the state park.
