Directions to Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site
From St. Louis
Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site is approximately two and one-half hours from St. Louis. Travel south on I-55 to Exit 49/New Madrid. Turn left onto U.S. Hwy. 61/62 and continue for 2.5 miles to Route U. Turn left onto Route U/Dawson Rd. and continue .8 mile. The historic site office is located on the right side at the corner of Dawson Rd. and 1st St.
From Memphis, Tenn.
Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site is approximately two hours from Memphis, Tenn. Travel north on I-55 to Exit 44/New Madrid. Turn right onto U.S. Hwy. 61/62 and continue for 3 miles to Route U. Turn right onto Route U/Dawson Rd. and continue .8 mile. The historic site office is located on the right side at the corner of Dawson Rd. and 1st St.
