Interpretive Programs

Special interpretation programs for large groups, including re-enactments of the life of soldiers, can be arranged by contacting site staff at least two weeks prior to arrival. Such arrangements are subject to scheduling conflicts and manpower considerations. Please call 573-546-3454 for additional information.

Research Library

Fort Davidson State Historic Site offers a research library with many books, microfilm and CD-Roms. The library is open during during normal business hours. The site is also the local microfilm storehouse for the records of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Pilot Knob, which served as a battlefield hospital during the Civil War. A microfilm reader and printer is now available for use by researchers.
