Where the Wildflowers Grow

Join the park naturalist for a 2-mile guided hike in the Gans Creek Wild Area. Take in a view from atop Shooting Star Bluff, about 100 feet above Gans Creek. There, enjoy the beauty of the lavender or white spiraling petals of the shooting star flowers. Get to know about 20 spring woodland wildflowers and what’s special about the places where they grow. This hike is recommended for ages 8 to adult and is free. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 573-449-7400.
