Volunteers are invited to join the staff of Lake Wappapello State Park in the repair of storm damaged sections on the historic Allision Cemetery Trail. The trail permits walking access for the public to Allision-Conner Cemetery, one of only a few Civil War-era cemeteries in the area. The cemetery sets on a scenic peninsula and is a popular destination for history buffs, anglers, birders, geocachers and other visitors. Participants wishing to assist are asked to meet at the park office to gather supplies at 1 p.m. Please bring drinking water and dress in comfortable working clothes.
