Traditional French Christmas

Experience the sights, sounds and tastes of a traditional French Christmas of the early 1800s as part of Ste. Genevieve’s annual Le Réveillon celebration.

Guests are invited to stop in to see the traditional, historic decorations. Dulcimer player Rick Thum will be performing an assortment of French carols and traditional holiday music beginning at 2 p.m. Costumed guides will be available to explain the holiday customs, and visitors can sample dessert items commonly served during a traditional French feast, including bûche de Noël, a sweet rendition of the yule log.
