Did you know that scarecrows were used by the ancient Egyptians, or that the boogeyman was originally a scarecrow? Come learn the history of scarecrows and then build your own! All scarecrows built will be placed on display in the mill and voted on during the month of October. The winning scarecrow will be announced at the Halloween Storytelling event on Friday, Oct. 19. Bring old clothing and accessories for your scarecrow. Straw, lumber and wire will be provided. This event is free and appropriate for all ages.
