Why are honey bees so busy? During this program, kids will role play a worker bee, drone, queen and young worker bee as they learn what bees do to collect nectar and pollen and how they deal with the different seasons of the year. Kids will see the real thing in an observation hive. They will also get to operate a hand-cranked, old fashion honey extractor and get to taste wildflower honey, as well as make their own bees wax candles.
Event time: 10 a.m.
This event is part of the National Kids to Parks Day. Click here for more information and other events happening in Missouri State Parks.
