5/18/2013 | St. Joe State Park | Park Hills, MO
Families should meet the park interpreter at the Blankshire Trail parking lot, near the main park entrance, where they will be given lists of items to search for along trails, near swimming beaches and other areas throughout the park. Items will include natural park features, as well as some things planted in advance by the interpreter. Each family will work as a whole unit, searching by car and walking. In exchange for a completed hunt, each child in the family will be awarded a pass for free admission to the nearby Missouri Mines State Historic Site. No collecting is to be done; only photographs or written recording on the scavenger sheets will be accepted for verification of completion. Admissions awarded as prizes are provided by the Missouri Mines Historic Society, the supporting friends group for the historic site.
Event times: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
