1. Big Sugar Creek Trail (South half) -- 7 miles

From the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Hwy. 47 at Troy, go east for three miles to the park entrance, turn left on Hwy. 147 and go 2.2 miles to Frenchman's Bluff Road and turn left, go one mile to the equestrian day-use and campground area. This trail is accessed from Cuivre River Trail. Trail distance includes 2.5 miles of connector trail.

2. Cuivre River Trail -- 11 miles

From the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Hwy. 47 at Troy, go east for three miles to the park entrance, turn left on Hwy. 147 and go 2.2 miles to Frenchman's Bluff Road and turn left, go one mile to the equestrian day-use and campground area. Trail distance includes 3.5 miles of connector trail.

3. Thompson River Trail -- 8 miles
Crowder State Park, Grundy County 660-359-6473 or 660-359-0900 (trail status)
From Trenton, take Hwy. 6 west for two miles to Hwy. 146. Go west on Hwy. 146 for 2.5 miles to 52nd NW Avenue, go north on NW 52nd Ave. (gravel) two miles to Dove Lane, then east on Dove Lane to trailhead.

4. Bunch Hollow Conservation Area Trails -- 4 miles

From Chillicothe, take Hwy. 65 south for 13 miles, west on Route U for one mile, south on Route Z for one mile to the area entrance on the right, follow the gravel road for 1.5 miles, then turn right for .25 mile to reach the trailhead. Trail is closed Oct. 15 - Jan. 1 and during spring turkey season.

5. Deer Ridge Conservation Area Trails -- 19 miles

From Kirksville, take Hwy. 6 east 43 miles to Route H, north on H for 5.5 miles to Route Y, north on Y for two miles to Co. Road 355 on the right, follow 355 for 1.5 miles to the camp and trail access. Trail is closed during firearms deer season and from the first day of youth turkey season through the last day of spring turkey season.

6. Henry Sever Lake Conservation Area Trails -- 7.5 miles
Henry Sever Lake Conservation Area, Knox County 660-785-2424
From Kirksville, take Hwy. 63 south for 11 miles east on Hwy. 156 for 27 miles, north on Route E for 1.5 miles, right on gravel road to parking lot. A special use permit is required.

7. Poosey Conservation Area Trails -- 18 miles

From Chillicothe, take Hwy. 65 north to Hwy. 190, west for two miles to Route A, north for nine miles to Co. Road 511, north to parking lots and trail access.

8. Sugar Creek Conservation Area Trails -- 10.5 miles

From Hwy. 63 south of Kirksville, take Hwy. 11 west for four miles, south on Route N to parking lots and trail access. Trail is closed during firearms deer season and from the first day of youth turkey season through the last day of spring turkey season.

9. Joanna Trail -- 29 miles

From Monroe City, take Hwy. J south 11 miles to Landing, turn west on Landing Lane one mile, turn south on Oakland Road, entering Spalding Recreation Boat Ramp Area. The trail is a point to point with three loops and five possible access points. Auxiliary trail attaches to campground and corral, available to registered campers at Frank Russell Recreation Area. There are three accessible ramps for people with disabilities.

10. Lick Creek Trail -- 8 miles

From Perry, take Hwy. J north eight miles to trailhead across from Ray Behrens Recreation Area entrance. Trail is a point to point with one short 2.5-mile loop and three possible access points.
