Central Region.

1. Katy Trail -- 25.5 miles
Katy Trail State Park, Henry/Pettis Counties 660-563-2463
Trailheads are located at Sedalia, Green Ridge, Windsor and Calhoun. Major routes to the trailheads include Hwys. 65, 127 and 52.

2. Rock Bridge Memorial State Park Trails -- 5 miles
Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, Boone County 573-449-7402
Equestrian use is allowed on non-designated paths in the 700-acre Gans Creek Wild Area. Trail access is from Rock Quarry Road, Bearfield Road and Boone Femme Church Road. The trails are closed November through May and when wet.

3. Prairie Home Conservation Area Trails -- 6 miles
Prairie Home Conservation Area, Cooper/Moniteau Counties 573-884-6861
From Prairie Home, take Hwy. 87 south for .5 mile to Route D, continue south on Route D for two miles, right on Hunt Mill Road for one mile.

4. Rudolf Bennitt Conservation Area Trails -- 12 miles

From Columbia, take Hwy. 63 north for 18 miles, west on Route F for five miles, north on Route T for 2.5 miles to the entrance road on the left. Take gravel road west 1.75 miles, then right for .75 mile, then left on another gravel road for .5 mile.

5. Moreau Creek Trail -- 9 miles

From Jefferson City, take Hwy. 54 west for 10 miles, north on Route D for 6.5 miles, west on Route C for four miles, south on Route AA for two miles, left on Scrivner Road for 1.5 miles, left on Scott Land for one mile to parking lot on the left. Trail is open May 15 - Sept. 30.

6. Three Creeks Horse and Bicycle Trail -- 8 miles

From the junction of I-70 and Hwy. 63 in Columbia, take Hwy. 63 south for eight miles, right on Deer Park Road for two miles to the parking lot. Trail is closed during firearms deer season.

7. Cedar Creek Trail -- 35 miles
Cedar Creek Ranger District, Callaway/Boone Counties 573-592-1400
Eight miles east of Ashland on Hwy. Y to junction with County Road 363, north to County Road 361, then north one mile to campground entrance at Dry Fork Recreation Area. Trail can be accessed at county roads.
