Interpretive Programs

Interpretive programs are offered at Battle of Athens State Historic Site for schools, groups and organizations. Off-site programs are also offered within a 60-mile radius of the historic site. Further distances within the state of Missouri are possible, dependent on staff schedules and the location. Please call 660-877-3871 for more information or to schedule your group.

Tours

Tours of the Thome-Benning House are offered free of charge. They are available daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from November through February and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. from March through October. If staff are not in the historic area, please inquire at the historic site office. Tours also are available at other times by prior arrangement. Please contact historic site staff at 660-877-3871 to make special arrangements. Large groups are encouraged to call ahead and check on the availability of staff members.
