Park Closed due to Flood Cleanup, Catch-and-Release Season Canceled - Montauk State Park

Montauk State Park is closed until at least Feb. 21, 2025, while crews address damage that occurred during flooding in early November. The destruction to park infrastructure is significant, and a substantial amount of work is required to reopen the park.

The Missouri Department of Conservation has announced that Montauk's winter catch-and-release trout season has been canceled due to the cleanup. However, winter catch-and-release trout fishing remains open at Roaring River and Bennett Spring state parks, as well as Maramec Spring Park.
