Rhythms of Summer: Outdoor Concert

5/24/2024 | First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site | St. Charles, MO

Join us in the backyard of First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site for a free outdoor concert featuring the Buckhannon Brothers. Come sit back, relax, and enjoy some old-time tunes and beautiful weather just a stone's throw from the Missouri River.

The Buckhannon Brothers, who are regulars at the site, will perform traditional instrumental music. The group’s expansive repertoire ranges from lively fiddle tunes to string rags, waltzes, schottisches, polkas and blues. These talented musicians from St. Louis are highly regarded and well known in the folk music community. Curtis' mandolin playing is perfectly complemented and balanced by Dennis' guitar accompaniment and Emily's keyboard.

So, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and a picnic dinner if you'd like, and let your toes do the tapping.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site 636-940-3322 or visit the site at 200 S. Main St. in downtown St. Charles.
